Frost retired from the U.S. Navy in 2012 after more than 29 years of service. His final billet, from 2010 to 2012, was as deputy commander, Navy Region Southwest Asia. His responsibilities included providing naval installation management and support for the Navy's Fifth Fleet in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates. From 2007 to 2010, he was chief of staff, Joint Interagency Task Force West, U.S. Pacific Command's Executive Agent for DoD's counter-narcotics program in the Asia-Pacific theater. From 2001 to 2002, Frost commanded a Maritime Patrol Aviation squadron (VP-5) based out of Jacksonville, Fla. His squadron was deployed to the Mediterranean during 9/11 and his aircrews participated in Operation Enduring Freedom operations.

Frost holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration/finance from the University of Southern California and a Master of Science in national resource strategy from the National Defense University. He currently is working to become certified as an Accredited Financial Counselor®.

Frost was appointed as deputy director, Financial Education and Veteran Services in March 2015. In that role, he is colead of MOAA's Financial and Benefits Education program and is an accredited veterans service officer (VSO), providing VA claims assistance to eligible veterans and acting as a trainer and mentor for MOAA's volunteer VSO cadre.

Prior to his appointment as deputy director, Frost was one of MOAA's pioneer VSO volunteers, undergoing approximately 100 hours of VA claims' training and filing 29 claims in the program's first year.
