As a deputy director for Career Transition Services, Bainton is responsible for planning and executing the career and professional networking event program and managing relationships with other departments to serve MOAA's nationwide membership. Additionally, she coordinates communications, policy, and strategic cooperation with external organizations whose mission and focus benefit MOAA members and spouses, support veteran hiring initiatives, and facilitate membership growth and retention. She also facilitates professional-development seminars and webinars, authors professional essays for MOAA's social media channels, along with content contributions to, and produces nationwide networking and hiring events and worldwide virtual career fair events. To date, she has produced over 65 events that have presented thousands of employment opportunities to over 17,000 attendees. These events have been recognized on CNN, CNN France, FOX, WETA and ABC affiliate stations, along with Stars and Stripes, WTOP, and Veteran Magazine.

Bainton is a native of Denver and a graduate of George Mason University with a Bachelor of Arts in communications. She currently is enrolled in the George Washington University's Business Event Management Certificate Program. Her professional memberships include the International Special Event Society and the Event Planners Association.
