Stevenson served 26 years in the U.S. Air Force culminating his career as a Chief Master Sergeant with the 11th Security Forces Group, charged with the protection of the President of the United States and other high-level elected leaders.  

Before joining the MOAA team, Mark gained veteran service organization experience as the Chief Operating Officer and interim Chief Executive Officer with the Air Force Sergeants Association where he was responsible for programmatic leadership; promulgating and implementing plans, policies, and strategies regarding Association performance; serving as an integral advisor to the Chairman on strategic planning, and association governance; communication with and testifying before Congress; and overseeing daily operation, leading a talented team of Directors toward strategic goals.  

After his retirement in 2011, he worked as the Divisional Training Director for the Defense Intelligence Agency where he oversaw the restructure of the Agency's military training program.   

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management from the University of Maryland, University College.  

He joined the staff of MOAA's Membership and Marketing Team in April 2017, as the Senior Director for Business Development and Products and Services.
