PLEASE COME AND JOIN US AT ONE OF OUR MONTHLY MEETINGS. YOUR SUPPORT CAN AND WILL MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE. WE WOULD LOVE TO MEET YOU!!!
We are located in Central New Jersey and meet at or near Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JBMDL). We are active in the MOAA NJ State Council of Chapters. The Chapter provides scholarships and awards to college ROTC and high school JROTC Units within our region. We also sponsor a Junior Officer of the Year Award Program selecting from among all military service units stationed at JBMDL. This program enhances our continued Active Duty-Guard-Reserve recognition/membership recruiting efforts. Additionally, our Legislative agenda (presented by the Chapter Legislative Officer) as well as membership drive efforts are included as part of the annual JBMDL "Retiree Appreciation Day." The Chapter participates in the annual Memorial Day Ceremonies at JBMDL, the Brigadier General Doyle State Veteran' Cemetery and the Burlington County Veterans Memorial Park.
The New Jersey Lakes & Pines Chapter actively supports the National MOAA legislative agenda through visits, telephone calls, e-mails, letters and cards to our Representatives and Senators in support of National MOAA legislative agenda items. Our monthly newsletter also highlights individual national and state legislative agenda items and urges our membership to actively support these various efforts. Congressional Representatives and Senators are invited periodically as guest speakers at various chapter forums. The Chapter is also very active within the State of New Jersey through working with our District Legislators in supporting State legislation that benefits our service members and veterans.
Announcements of location and speaker for the next monthly MEMBERSHIP LUNCHEON MEETINGS are made through our newsletter and this website.

About Our Chapter
The New Jersey Lakes & Pines Chapter of MOAA, chartered in 1962, has a membership area covering Burlington, Camden, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Meetings are held monthly from September through June. A monthly newsletter provides current highlights of local and national import. The New Jersey Lakes & Pines Chapter, with a current membership of 147, is a highly active chapter and very proud of both its fifteen 5 Star Ratings and its legislative successes at both the national and state levels on behalf of all military beneficiaries. At the national level, the New Jersey Lakes & Pines Chapter is credited as the main lobbying force in gaining the Paid-up provision to the Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP). At the state level, the New Jersey Lakes & Pines Chapter is credited as the primary veterans’ organization to lobby for and gain the change in New Jersey law that exempts military pensions and survivor benefit payments from state income taxes.
